American Dippers are amazing little water birds that find their food on the bottom of creek and river beds. In this case we were birding the Alouette River in Maple Ridge Park. This parent was absolutely run of her feet trying to get enough food to feed her nestling near by. I noticed she had something other than the usual Cadis fly larvae. Upon closer inspection it is clear that these birds are great fishermen too with a double catch. The babies wont go hungry with this parent at the watch.
