Black Noddy - Waiʻanapanapa Beach, HI
On the road to Hanna are the black cliffs of Wai'anapanapa State Park. Black Noddys hang out on the volcanic rocks and are hard to see with the white heads just like the surface of the water. Noddys are named for the way the males and females nod their heads during courtship. These birds can be found around the equator making most islands in the band the place they raise their young.
