In the early morning sun we found a little area a couple hundred yards from the Baan Maka Nature Lodge where they grow a lot of their own food. Among the Papayas and Bananas a Blue Whistling Thrush made its way to the telephone pole to catch the morning sun. A crazy fact about these "thrush" is that while they look like our American robins, they are actually from the old world flycatcher family of birds.
