California Condor - Navajo Bridge, AZ

California Condors are as magnificent as they are rare. With only 561 in the world, these New World Vultures are few and far between. We made a pilgrimage to Navajo Bridge while in Sedona to get a couple glimpses of the largest flying bird in the world. The adults have this multi colored head with it flushing brighter in mating season. Note the antennas poking out of each wing which helps the researchers locate each of the tagged birds so they can locate them if there are any issues.
