Collared Scops Owl - Baan Maka Nature Lodge, TH

On our arrival at Baan Maka Nature Lodge Cantina for the evening, we caught the sound of an owl just off the dining room. The host changed the lighting so we could see our dinner guest. As it turns out, he had a dinner guest of his own. This Collared Scops Owl was great treat to start our stay off with one of the best birding resorts we stayed at during our Thailand trip.  The little owl can be found all over Thailand but is usually heard first.
