Common Myna - Wailea Golf Club, HI
A very common bird in South East Asia this Common introduced bird is found in a great many places around the world. Due to it's adaptable nature. Hawaii is no difference and is found through out the islands. They are very conspicuous and make all sorts of interesting sounds. These birds are considered pests much like European Starlings who were released in North America in one location and now are found in every corner of the continent. Common Mynas were brought to Hawaii in the 1800's to control Army Worms.
