Gray Francolin - Keawakapu, HI
Calling from the lawn, up from the beach, this transplant from India and Iran was very vocal. Not shy in the least these birds are commonly found around Maui. They frequent the hilly rocky areas with a great many of them on the golf courses. There are a great many types of Francolin around the world and are 17 species strong.
