Great Lizard Cuckoo - Varadero, CU
There is something about a bird with a big tail that bounces through the trees. I love cuckoos and this guy was no exception. There was a bit of a call when I first came up on him in the Varahicacos Ecological Reserve. He wanted to get a better look at me getting a better look at him, and all of sudden, he was three maybe four bounces and he disappeared. This species is found only on the islands of Cuba and The Bahamas.
