Java Sparrow - Olowalu, HI
The non native birds that were released on the Hawaiian islands were definitely picked for their attractive nature. There were several birds from South East Asia, including this Java Sparrow. who's native range is strictly limited to the island of Java in Indonesia. This bird was feeding with several other Java sparrows on a lawn east of Lahaina.
