Mourning Dove - Varadero, Cuba
It is always interested to see a bird that is common in your own area in a far away place. It is also interested to see how subtle differences in the plumage show from one place to the other. This little dove was sporting a much more cinnamon breast than the birds we have here, otherwise they are identical. This was in the Varahicacos Ecological Reserve just in from the road.
