Hotspots
San Antonio
Established in 1939 to provide a critical stopover for migrating waterfowl, the refuge is well known for the thousands of Sandhill cranes, geese and other waterfowl that winter here each year.

Las Vegas National Wildlife Refuge offers nature trails from .5 miles to 1.75 miles, scenic drives, and an overlook observation deck. Avocets and Long-billed Curlew are among the residents.
