One of the birds I really wanted to see when we were in Thailand were the drongos. While looking very similar to a small crow these birds are flycatchers by trade but have their own family with 28 different members. Most of the birds have a bit of a tail flourish, but our bird has a bit extra. It is said that they are great mimics and sometimes repeat alarm calls of other birds to scare away their rivals as a juicy insect comes in striking range. This drongo was flycatching around the lawns of Baan Maka Nature Lodge.
