This Nuthatch was one of two red-breasts and one of 7 species combing the pines for food in Wenas Campground just north west of Yakima, WA. I hit the tri-fecta of nuthatches looking for a White-headed Woodpecker. (no pictures or luck on that bird.) There were 8 Pygmy's and 2 White breasted Nuthatches along with Mountain and Black-capped Chickadees. A Brown Creeper and a Golden-crowned Kinglet were there as well.
