Ruffed Grouse - Kamloops, BC
This first year bird was doing a very good job of showing off his "Ruff." We came around a corner and there he was all indignant that we interrupted whatever he was doing. Typically these game birds freeze solid when there is danger and they don'T move until the last minute, which is why they are called "fool hens." This was on the way up the north side of Rose Hill Road near Kamloops, BC
