Rufous Hummingbird 3 - Richmond Nature Park, BC
Our summer hummingbird is very identifiable by the solid rufous coloring of the males. One of the first flowers to bloom here in Metro Vancouver are the Salmonberry flowers which herald the first of our Rufous Hummingbirds. This little birds fly south to Mexico for the winter but are back in our area for March.
