Say's pheobe's are one of the quieter flycatchers I have found. They can usually be seen hawking from fence posts or from low objects near to the ground like rocks. In this a colonial log fence did the trick and the bird was moving back and forth collecting insects on the wing. He was there for at least two days but I never did see a mate.
