American Dipper Splash - Hardy Falls, BC
Solitaires are close relations to the American Robin being in the thrush family with both having a beautiful song. They are mostly high altitude birds in the summer nesting season, but mostly eat Juniper berries in the winter. They can be found in the west, from Alaska to Mexico even heading to the more arid regions for a winter food source. This beautiful bird however was found in a park in downtown Vancouver making his way through a berry bush.
