The only vulture we see in British Columbia as well as the only one in Canada. There are a lot of people that don't believe me when I say we have Vultures here in what is also know as the "Pacific North Wet." Mostly, these Turkey Vultures are associated with desert scenes and rib cages sticking out of the sand. In reality, they can be found anywhere there are warm thermals that pic the very large birds up on their 6 foot wing spans. These birds only weight 2-4 pounds and can glide for hours with out a single flap.
