Western Wood-pewee - Sturgeon Slough, BC
One of the easier Empid flycatchers to identify, the Western Wood-pewee has a distinctive call and has the gray "vest" that sets them apart from the rest. Their Eastern counterpart has a call that makes much more sense as the namesake of the bird. This bird's sounds more like "veer" this was along the blueberry fields in Pitt Meadows closest to Swaneset Golf Course.
