White-rumped Shama - Baan Maka Nature Lodge, TH

The first thing you notice about this bird is the striking colors and the long tail. The second it the gorgeous songs it sings. It is know to be found as a caged bird through out South East Asia. This bird was found just out side of the restaurant for the Baan Maka Nature Lodge. The Shama is part of the old world flycatcher family and can be seen hawking insects from lower perches.
