Zebra Dove - Wailea Beach Resort, HI
One of the most common birds on the Island of Maui, this dove is diminutive. The birds are found in just about every area in great numbers, especially where there are humans. We had several join us for lunches on the patios. They are originally from Southeast Asia where they can also be found in almost every habitat. There are many introduced populations around the world now as they do well around humans.
