Zebra Dove - Wat Mahathat, TH

On our walk through the ruins of Wat Mahathat a very comfy Zebra Dove was preening on one of the brick wall silhouetted by a large domed temple. One of our greatest birding areas to start the trip we were amazed at the number of bird species that made their home here. Zebra doves were the most common dove while we were in Thailand as well. I had only seen Zebra doves in one other location before in Hawaii but they were a released bird there. It was nice to see them where they were a local species.
