Red-legged Thrush - Cueva de los Peces, CU I always find it amazing how many thrushes there are out there and in so many places around the world. The other thing that amazes me is the diversity of color, yet the body shape is still the same. For example, Varied Thrush of Western North America, Abyssinian Thrush of Africa, Feildfare of Asia and Europe, Clay-colored Thrush of Central America, Common Blackbird of Europe, and of course American Robin. We found several of these birds working the lower forest along the lava rock at Cueva de Los Peces, (Cave of the Fishes) just south of Playa Larga.
