Rufous Hummingbird - Pitt MeadowsWhile out at Swan-e-set Golf Course, I came across a cherry tree that was a buzz with bees and hummingbirds. This female Rufous sat long enough to let me get a quick pic through the branches. There were several others as well, including a male Anna's who owned this side of the tree. Hummingbirds are territorial and will buzz bomb anyone threatening to take what is theirs. Several of the females were feeding under the canopy of the tree to escape detection.
