Sharp-tailed Sandpiper - Richmond, BC Located on Iona Island with a large flock of Pectoral Sandpipers this Asian migrant was following the leader. There is nothing easy about finding a slightly buffier chested, more rufus crowned, slight stronger eye-ringed bird in a flock of moving birds that are almost identical who are being harassed by a Peregrine falcon. You have to be slightly crazy and a bird nerd, to appreciate the patience needed to pick this bird out of 70 others that are almost identical. Great to add to the list this year.
