Wood Duck - Burnaby, BC     Spring has sprung and the Wood Ducks are parading around with their fancy colors looking for a girlfriend. This duck is no different and is yet to put claim to a pretty little female. Burnaby Lake is one of best location for grabbing photos of the colorful waterfowl at the Piper Spit entrance. This tree nesting duck is comfortable in the water, on land, in the air or on trees. Several of the nesting boxes that are put up around the lake are well used along with some woodpecker nesting holes.
